Hard water treatment and control

Hard water is a very common problem, affecting water in more than 85% of the UK. It is formed when the water percolates through deposits of limestone and chalk made up mostly of calcium and magnesium carbonates.

Pipes and outlets become clogged with scale which reduces water flow and ultimately causes pipe replacement if they are beyond cleaning processes. Also Increased water heating costs from buildup of minerals, reducing efficiency of water heaters and efficiency of water flow through pipes leading to increases in power used to enable flow increasing energy costs.

Hard water contributes to inefficient and costly operation of water-using appliances. Heated hard water forms a scale of calcium and magnesium minerals that can contribute to the inefficient operation or failure of water-using appliances.

Water Hygiene Systems can assess the hardness of the water and test for other impurities to give you a full water quality report, then offer you the best solution or options to give consistent water flow performance and the most efficient system, which is especially essential when you are responsible as a business or landlord.
